Maserati, a name synonymous with luxury and performance, has a storied history that dates back to December 1, 1914. Founded in Bologna, Italy, by Alfieri Maserati and his brothers Ettore and Ernesto, the brand initially focused on producing race cars.

Their first creation, the Tipo 26, debuted in 1926 and quickly established Maserati as a force in motorsport.

In 1937, the Maserati brothers sold their shares to the Orsi family, who relocated the company to Modena. Under new ownership, Maserati continued to thrive in racing, achieving a significant milestone in 1957 when Juan Manuel Fangio won the Formula One World Championship, driving a Maserati 250F.

The 1960s and 70s marked Maserati's transition from racing to producing luxury sports cars for the road, with iconic models like the Ghibli, Bora, and Merak.

Venturing into New Waters

Maserati venturing in new waters

Today, Maserati is significantly impacting the marine industry by introducing its first electric powerboat, the TRIDENTE.

Developed in collaboration with EV marine company Vita, the TRIDENTE showcases Maserati's dedication to innovation and luxury in a new domain.

Power and Performance

The TRIDENTE is powered by two electric motors that collectively produce 600 horsepower.

This impressive power enables the vessel to reach up to 40 knots. Designed for day trips, the TRIDENTE can cruise at 25 knots for approximately 43 miles on a single charge.

It is ideal for lake or coastal cruising without the emissions or odors associated with traditional gas-powered engines.

The 252 kWh lithium-ion battery can be recharged in as little as one hour using a DC connection, ensuring minimal downtime between adventures.

Design and Amenities

The spacious layout includes seating for eight, a sundeck bed, and a swim platform at the stern, providing ample opportunities for relaxation and recreation.

Additionally, the cockpit can be configured for dining or high-speed cruising, enhancing the vessel's versatility.

Inside, the TRIDENTE features a small cabin equipped with a bed, a toilet, and a sink, making it suitable for extended day trips. Advanced navigational technology, including a large touchscreen at the helm, ensures a seamless and enjoyable boating experience.

The high standards of craftsmanship by Hodgdon Yachts are evident in every detail, from the luxurious finishes to the practical amenities.
